I - League ! All you need to know about
Every country has a different playing style and have players of
different capabilities. But looking towards a country like India, where
football is the least promoted sport Hero MotoCorp is taking Indian football to
the whole new level.
I League is India’s first Football League tournament to be
played and loved by most of the Indian football fans. So, let’s have some look
on the I League news.
Mohun Bagan lose grip over
the title !
Mohun Bagan somehow managed to lose the grip over the title as
they went winless ofr the fourth time
consecutively in the last match played on Saturday against DSK Shivajians where
they drew 3-3 and were no more the strongest contender for the title.
It was expected that Mohun Bagan will dominate the game but
yesterday it seems as if they were just trying to save their skins so that they’re
not thrown out of the title race.
Derrick Pereira did not made any changes in the lineup to mange to
fetch 1 point for DSK Shviajians. This team was opted against Bengaluru FC too.
Mohun Bagan combined for the goal very early on as Glen was
available to collect the long ball but Jhingan stopped Glen and cleared the
ball but was able to clear it only as far as Katsumi Yusa but Sen Ralte managed
to clear the danger.
Many moves were made but were unable to get converted as the away
side were tight in terms of defence.
DSK have extended their unbeaten streak to 7 matches and are just
1 point behind Mohun Bagan with 26 points having 3 matches to play whereas
Mohun Bagan has only 1 match left to play with 27 points in hand.
Bengaluru FC and East Bengal
clashed not on the pitch but for the pitch.
Today’s high profile clash between Bengaluru FC and East Bengal
got dirty as the two I League giants got involved in a training ground issue.
East Bengal decided to practice before the Sun runs the town but
they were not so successful it seems.
The Bus was was supposed to pick up the players and the managers
which didn’t come. Players somehow managed to reach the ground by walking from
the hotel to the field at 9.00 a.m.
The officials misbehaved with the players as well as the manager
and didn’t allowed them to ebter the field. Then some other officials arrived
and cooperated and then finally the team was allowed to practice on the pitch.
According to Bengaluru FC, they had mailed all the information to
East Bengal and AIFF but it’s not their problem if they dosen’t see mails. And
moreover, we have mentioned that the practice could be on from 3.00 p.m. but
their players landed up conveniently at 4.30 p.m. and practiced.
Both Bengaluru FC and East Bengal are battling for the title side
by side with Mohun Bagan.
