Barclays Premier League 

It was Sunday Matchday on 24 jan 2016 where four great teams faced each other for the EPL title race. Everton faced Swansea and Chelsea faced Arsenal. All the teams performed really well but one team had to win from both the matches. So, it happened

Everton 1 - 2 Swansea



It was a match where Everton was facing Swansea at Goodison Park fighting for the title. Match was full of action course as both of the teams got their goals in the first half. And first half was called off with the score 1-2. G. Sigurdsson of Swansea scored the first goal of the game by scoring a penalty at the 17' min. mark, the match proceeded and at the 26th minute J. Cork scored an own goal making fixture look easier for the home side. T. Cleverley was substituted with M. Besic in the 11th min. as he was injured. And just after the goal S.Peinaar was substituted by K. Mirallas at 28' min. It was not looking much of  chance when A. Ayew scored another goal assisted by N. Taylor. This goal was of course the decisive one for Swansea. and the half time was called off at the scoreline displaying Everton 1-2 Swansea. The next half was nothing about goals but just about the possession which was not kept by Swansea as compared to the Everton side. Let's find out what does the stats say ?



It looks like Everton had the command all over the game, so the away side decided to take command over the scoreline. So, basically Everton kept trying its best to keep up the score but was not successful in doing so. It was not their day. Fans might not have liked it, neither the manager but if its meant to happen, who could've stopped it from happening. Hopefully they'll find out the lags and improve over it in the next day. when we look towards the table, Everton is at 12th position with 23 points in hand and Swansea at 15th with 23 points.



Arsenal  0 - 1 Chelsea


Premier League's second match was between Arsenal and Chelsea. Can be called the Arch Rivals. Maybe not in terms of the league positions but the managers and players. As it has been proved in history that Mourinho and Wenger have never been in good terms, at least not on the pitch . So, this was again a great clash and Arsenal was expected to win the match as they've been running in great form and Chelsea going not so good at the moment because they've still not managed  to make it to the first 10 in the table. But it was a good day for Jose and his boys as they digged a victory over Arsenal and recalled their winning habit. The match was kicked off at 21:30 by Mr. Mark Clattenburg (the referee) at the Emirates Stadium and at the 11' min. Oscar committed a foul and was booked for a yellow card and it was not much time gone when P. Mertesacker invited the referee to give him a red card for a ferocious tackle at the 18th minute. Wenger was totally looking annoyed with this call. D. Costa came up with a crushing blow at the 23rd minute, finding the net and making the scoreline 0-1, that made Mourinho energetic for about the rest of the match. Half time was called at the score Arsenal  0 - 1 Chelsea. The next half was all about cards and fouls but nothing else. The match was called off at 0 - 1 with Chelsea taking away 3 points with them. La Liga (Primera Division)

 Granada 3 - 2 Getafe
